The City of Parker appointed Mr. Lot Lawson to the vacant seat previously held by Ms. Bobbie Jo Spikes on January 17, 2012. The Oath of office will be held on February 7, 2012 at 5:30pm.

Parker is an incorporated municipality utilizing a five member Council with the Mayor acting as CEO. For more information about the Council visit our City Council page. A small community of approximately 5000 citizens. Parker is nestled amid St. Andrews Bay and Martin Lake. Its southern limits border Tyndall Air Force Base. A quiet neighborhood community Parker has a large Sports Complex, a unique educational park, a very active Volunteer Fire Department and its own Police Department.
Founded in the early 1800's, the City of Parker today encompasses 2.5 square miles. Approximately 6 miles is coastal and serves as the population south side boundary line.
The first known description of the Parker area appeared in, A View of West Florida. This journal contained the first American survey of the St. Andrews Bay area and the survey identified a place called "Loftin" on the east bank of St. Andrews Bay. Read more...
