UTILITY WORKER AND MECHANIC POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Open Positions:

 

Utility Workers:

The City of Parker is currently seeking utility workers. Applicants must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent, and be able to pass a background check and drug screen. Applicants must have a minimum of a Class B CDL or be able to obtain a class B CDL within 6 months of hire. Applicants must be able to perform a variety of maintenance and construction related tasks assigned in both written and oral form. Experience repairing water and sewer lines, operating heavy equipment, reading meters, using hand tools, and some power equipment is preferred. This is a full time position (M-F) and occasionally requires applicant to work an on-call rotation schedule after hours. Visit the "Employment Opportunities" section to apply. Mechanic:

The City of Parker has an opening for a mechanic. Must have high school diploma or equivalent, Class B CDL, 5 years experience with heavy equipment, small engines, gas and diesel engines, be able to use computers and scan tools, perform job orders, work with inmates, and comply with the DOC requirements. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. Applications are on the City’s website at www.cityofparker.com and will be accepted through June 25th in person or by mail at Parker City Hall, 1001 W. Park Street, Parker, FL 32404.
